rigger 47
As of this morning (well it hasn't changed in over a week, I had to sell a few houses). WOW - either you get very little commision or you are paying way too much for materials
Guest
Haha Winter was tough , no denying it, but I'm up to three for the month (well ,almost, waiting on one last intial), means I've been very busy so no boatbuilding. But I never seem to get paid "enough".

Guest
Does it sail as well, or is it just for rowing along with fingers trailing in the water?
Atom Ant 0
Sadly yes. Once upon a time it wouldn't have been an old design wooden rowing dory that gave me a boner...
Guest
I'm going to wash my eyes out now, thanks AA.
Guest
So many questions The epoxy is West and the glue powder courtesy of Gary FnG (I paid in rum) so I'm not sure the exact model. I just trust him when he says this is what you need. It works fine, I'm trying to be a bit more careful this time so the the finished product looks a bit better. If all goes well I will varnish the transom. It's amazing how much more care you take when yo uknow it is going to be visible No sails, My daughter has bought a parasol for our first outing. Still working on that last initial, if I get get it I have promised myself Sat off and will make a dent in the planking.
Guest
Get some special green tape off Gary to keep those glue-lines under control !!!
Guest
The green is expensive, I use the cheapo brown from Placemakers and spend ages scraping it off - remember - therapy. Plus I'm only taping where it will be visible, once it's closed in a lot of that will disappear.

Guest
When building Squid I spent hours one day sanding and fairing a piece of wood. When I fitted it I realised it would be behind a watertight bulkhead. Hmmmmmph.
Clipper 343
Hidden sin is still sin. A bigger sin is time wasting on the finish of non visible items.
Mothership 6
As mentioned several times - it's therapy
