Yes goes on a bit but then so did the absolutely bizzare incident at Oneroa where the skipper of a fairly large yacht was deliberately ramming boats and demanding their phones, you can see the boat in question at 1:38, it was out of Westhaven. It took forever for the police to come by which time this visitor to our shores and her son were throughly traumatised. The son did eventually hand over his phone to try and placate the whackjob and it was retrieved later by the police at westhaven (they followed the boat back). Apparently the owner thought the world was going to end.

ex Elly 258
Loveworkx is a youtuber who has sailed around the world to NZ. I watched another video of hers where she went to a party at Lin Pardey's in Kawau. She has described the Christams Day incident at Oneroa here, to save you watching the long video. https://sailing.loveworkx.com/drama-waiheke-island/
Zozza 351
Loveworkx lady sailing a Grinde I see - same 27 footer that the American girl, Holly, is sailing round world. Initially I thought this might have been Grant / KnotMe roving around the anchorage berating people for still using CQR anchors..... ha ha just jokes Mr CRA 😀 Then I thought it might have been some clipboard wielding Caulerpa govt. agency guy gone bananas.... But, looks like just a random bananas guy gone bananas. Scary though - not sure what I would have done, but I doubt I would have handed my expensive iPhone over to him without a fight, literally....
Psyche 794
obviously having some kind of mental health episode, maybe fully cooked on P- anyway best thing to do in these circumstances is to run away!
Guest 132
Yep as much as you want to be confrontational it only escalates situation with people displaying irrational behaviour. Protect your asset by running away. Only go for speargun if there is no alternative. Yesterday there was some planetary misalignment. Forcast was for 10-15NE to come back from port Jackson. Was 3-5knts.So motored. Played “guess which is port” on Nth side of Rangi with new (?) owners of playtime, resplendent with masks, hoodies, cold climate street gear. WTF! Got back and car battery was flat, no warning. At least the AA guy seemed normal. Insult to injury, got run off road into ditch last night driving home. Don’t know how we didn’t connect. He/she was on wrong side of road on blind corner, and at night! Weird , and they didn’t stop! Can’t figure it; whether a U turn or tourist or meth head. Be careful out there, being a nutter with an alternate reality must be fashionable.

El Toro 115
I was there on Xmas day and witnessed him collide with some Dutch liveaboards. I managed to get video of it. He only missed me by around a meter. I had to gun it to get out of the way, horn blasting the whole time. I felt bloody sorry for the Dutchies, they were sitting on their boat have a glass of bubbles, next thing this prick went straight into them. He then moved across to Palm Beach from what I understand, and I think his tender washed up on Oneroa after he hit the Dutch couple.
