Changed 10
Two good boats have just appreared for sale. CU in the South Island, some good youtube footage of it in full flight and the Mighty Grunty Chicken- a floating art work.
Absolution 7
It looks like CU has had some work since heading south.... pretty sure it was an inline spreader tin rig and outboard in a well before. Built by Vaudrey Miller if I remember correctly. Would be a very nice boat to have back in the Auckland fleet.
Guest
the Mighty Grunty Chicken- a floating art work. Isn't it just. Huge room for what she is and the Bar design is magnificent in so many ways. If only it was slower I'd like her more

Guest
the grunty chicken looks cool....how much different is she to a standard 7.9 (rig/keel/construction type aside)?
Marshy 30
Its in a league of its own! The grunty is a very special boat. Meticulous build by a perfectionist. Everything is well thought out. Think the keel is slightly further aft from memory. Got a 7/8th rig in it with no jumpers and well kitted out with sails and prods for shorthanded stuff. And converts into a very tidy cruising boat too. Think its slightly longer than a standard Elliott 7.9 too like 8 or 8.1 metres?
