i've learnt that during your first few years at a boat building yard, you learn how to clean toilets and sweep floors really, really well

emphasis on really really well, you're learning the "stop look and think" thing pretty essential skill regardless of what trade/ vocation you persue

It's snowing in Whangaparaoa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wrong thread Squid,

Are you sure it's snow or just sleet? We've got plenty of hail sitting on the ground here in Orewa, lasted about 5 min before it turned back to rain and it melted. Actually had to put a jacket and hat on to go get my sandwich at lunchtime, it's really cold out side, like 10 degree's or something. Not used to this in the tropics

Well it sure looked like snow. It was not hail, much lighter, stuck to my jacket and blew around in the breeze. We had a nice little pile build up by the North Sails front door.
