johnMi 2
What is not offshore about Round White Island. It is not ocean racing, and it's not coastal racing, you're more than 50 miles from the coast. So what is it? Offshore shorely

Guest
It has to be a offshore race. If it wasn't you'd need land yachts. Nancy's boy is doing the race, I spoke to him last night. No idea if Shirley is though.

Changed 10
Cat 3 plus. Which means advanced sea survival course for half of the crew, sat phone or SSB, liferaft and danbuoy. Pretty sure that was the list.

Guest
I'm hoping to make a sneaky trip across the Tasman to do this one again. It's a great race. When the breeze hits 30+ and you're 2-up at White Island it certainly feels like you're offshore. I wouldn't call it inshore.

Guest
he said hes doing it fully crewed. im coming. get that bus humming. Yeah mate. It'll be somewhat easier with the dream team on board. At this stage I'm planning to come over. If there's any complication with White Island I'll try and do the Coastal instead. Good work on the 88's bro. I imagine you had a bit on!
