  1. Thanks KM. Yes I'd appreciate any advice for listing in New Cal.
  2. Currently with Tony, but nothing happening and only advice is "Drop the price"...
  3. Gidday all. Who is the top recommended broker in your opinion to sell a yacht in Auckland. I look forward to all opinions!! Cheers, Smithy.
  4. The main reason I am selling the Marshall is Marina prices and I don't think I am the only one. I started off paying $550 a month at Bayswater 5 years ago, last I paid Westhaven was $920.. Crazy. Now renting privately...
  5. Wow Josh. That was fast! Nice job. Nice boat too. A bit more comfortable than some of your recent rides!! Excellent. I hope you will keep us up to date with a blog or facebook or something. All the best, I'm sure you will have a blast! Thanks for all your help over the last 5 years with the Marshall. Cheers, Smithy.
  6. That is an amazing deal, especially with a brand new engine. Looks really well cared for as well.
  7. http://www.stuff.co.nz/nelson-mail/news/92737138/tahuna-holiday-park-tenant-evicted-after-7-years-my-rights-have-been-taken-off-me This is where the stupid regs can take you!!
  8. One of the best blogs out there. Makes me feel very slack leaving the boat in the marina too long! Just get out there and do it. Love your work mate!
  9. Nice discussion here!! I agree with what Jon appears to be saying above. Others kept in touch. Boating NZ is a business. The model is meant to be "Write interesting stories that the NZ boating public want to read, increase readers, attract advertisers". They fell over at the first hurdle because they were lazy and had no-one reporting on what is a big race in NZ terms. Josh and Damon are Pros and made sure their story was heard. It was the same prep and attention to detail that won them the race. No argument there. The issue is lazy journalism on the part of Boating NZ. If there w
  10. Ruined I tell ya!! Half his skill set would be nice!
  11. Haha. Damn those marinas. She fits into a 12M berth easy. Just a small bit of prod poking out, but they are so anal about this sort of thing, and always out for the dollars. Some nice alternatives selling at the moment. Fineline, Squealer, The guarantee. You are spoiled for choice, all at good prices too!
  12. Have I got just the boat for you Clipper!
  13. Read it for the second time. Nice write up Vesna! Good to see we weren't the only ones finding holes! You had us really worried coming out of Wellington. Beast of a boat when it all goes wrong. Big ups to both of you! The screen shots of the tracker are a great Idea and I wish I had grabbed a few before it disappeared off the web.
  14. Nice idea Matt M. YNZ, feel free to wade in!!
  15. Wheels, I thought that most SMPTs had a full transformer with isolation on the secondary. Most battery chargers should be fine I would have thought. I must test mine..
  16. I used to do big reports. Got lazy I guess. I also never saw anyone else apart from the usual people doing it, so I lost heart a bit I guess. It's not so much fun reporting poor results either!!
  17. Excellent! I will try the same path!
  18. All a bit off target from the original whinge from Phil, that Boating NZ really let the side down. It is our major yachting publication in NZ like it or not! It was all there for them to report on, just needed a bit of effort. I subscribe to this mag, and I was very surprised when I saw Phil's post of the article. Poor effort.
  19. I'll be interested to see if you pass inspection Dtwo. If soi, then I will try and get mine passed as well! Same set up!
