Battleship 100
Don't know if anyone has been following this but the entry list has a lot of the top AC sailors with the Team NZ guys putting on a good show. Pete Burling sitting in 3rd at the moment by the looks, http://www.mothworlds.org/sorrento/ results http://www.sscbc.bvit.com.au/site/yachting/event/65411/default.html edit Make that 1st overall for Pete Burling http://www.sscbc.bvit.com.au/site/yachting/event/65411/default.html
Island Time 1,245
Yep, kiwi's doing well. Was a bit on One news tonight...
RushMan 31
Crap shoot today with little breeze, northerly tomorrow is the forecast which should make things interesting. (Northerly in Melbourne is usually hot and strong... 20+ with plenty of distance for the waves to build up before it hits Sorrento)
Guest Ketchup
Burlng doing well as per usual. But to say NZ is doing well "collectively" is stretching it. Barker again showing signs of phlegm "build up" in the back of the throat. He just does not have what it takes.
Deep Purple 512
Awesome skills
Black Panther 1,592
Impressive sailing. Spectacular wipeout just before 2.

benny14 6
Pete Burling - World Champion. Awesome to watch, he was pretty much untouchable. Looking good for coming years of NZ Sailing... Lets hope ETNZ shuffle him straight to the front seat.
Clipper 345
What a legend. Well done peter!
Battgirl 23
Against all that competition he won 9 of 14 races and was always in the top 10. What a sailor and he's only 22. Wow
Guest Ketchup
Burling as skipper #1 for TNZ. Barker.. well let's say ... he never got to the level people thought he might. Time for Dean to go do something by himself and without any "team" influences. He really needs to go and win something, by himself, in order to remove the "labels" he has and pro e he can actually win something. Burling is leap years ahead of anything Barker has done. Battleship 100
Why does it always have to turn into a bag Barker session, seriously WTF? Well done to Pete, awesome work, all the years of Moth sailing paid off.
Black Panther 1,592
Full marks to that chap. But after an earlier comment that NZ sailing is in good shape , I'm curious to know who else under say 25 have we got in the pipeline for world class achievement??
Battleship 100
Blair Tuke Pete's sailing partner on the 49rs came in 6th, also a pretty respectable result in that fleet. Interesting to note former Moth world cahmp Rohan Veal could only manage 35th.

But after an earlier comment that NZ sailing is in good shape , I'm curious to know who else under say 25 have we got in the pipeline for world class achievement?? Besides Jo Aleh and Burling / Tuke there is not much. We have a couple of good Finn sailors and that's about it. Willow, it is not a Barker "bagging session" it is putting the facts out there. His record is shocking in the big events. He has a label as a chocker and has done nothing to prove this wrong. The AC has ruined him and his choice of boats to race in is strange (.well not really considering what the AC is all about now) He would look better in a star or etchell or even a Finn than a cat. He needs to get back to what he is good at. Monos's and match racing. That rules out the fast light foil boats and cats Another thing to consider with Burlings win Is his boat design. TNZ designers designed a rocket!... the foils are superior to Outridges.
Priscilla II 396
Bloody fantastic result for Peter Burling. When I look at the footage of those moths in action it is a bloody staggering sailing. Well done that man , you have achieved something extremely special. Yah smashed im bro

Guest Ketchup
Oh good. He's back. FFS thanks Kenneth, I was never gone ... just had many guises. Well actually, all five of us have and are still active, albeit some of us have breaks from time to time. How's your Cat sailing going big fella?... still winning everything?
