eruptn 95
Spotted this on TM http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/boats-marine/parts-accessories/outboards/auction-1076765882.htm Anyone see one working ?
erice 732
looks like a chinese? weedeater factory has shortened the shaft changed the end gear to 90 degrees from 120? and put a prop on it 2 stroke weedeaters generally tricky things to start after the 1st year of ownership let alone the seals around the 90 degree gear and the alloy being suitable for salt water
Clive 13
What is it .. 10c to add a picture on TM? Interesting how there is only the 1 pic for the ad!
ScottiE 174
Well someone bought it so would be interesting to get their review after a few months.
wheels 543
I saw them several months back, but just could not bring myself to try. In fact, it put me off the slightly larger more normal looking units as well. BUT!!! what was more, the ones I spied were from a Nelson supplier and guess what, he was less than half the price of this CHCH supplier. So they were really cheap. Yet I still could not be persuaded. Their water cooled 5Hp was around this price if I remember correctly.

Pumbaa 9
That's the trifecta, a sevylor toy dinghy, a weedwacker for an outboard and a broken concrete block for an anchor.
Addem 98
2 stroke weedeaters generally tricky things to start after the 1st year of ownership Ain't that the truth. Single use outboards? Why not.
waikiore 405
Yes saw some Asian people men and women going out of Sullivans bay heading for Motuora at Anniversary weekend with just this setup Sevylor and weed whacker outboard, wearing camo gear as it happened. They came back hours later taking turns paddling in soft looking rubber duck, lucky the SW had not got up or they may have ended up cuddling challenger island or starting a new settlement on the Mokohinaus... ScottiE 174
in the vein of another post of mine - what about one of these! http://global.yamaha-motor.com/business/outboards/product/enduro/kerosene-spec/
Clipper 346
This is a pretty neat beer cooled outboard
wheels 543
If he put a motor onto that, he could be on to something
DrWatson 381
Have people simply forgotten how to row?
Steve Pope 243
We row all the time, but then we have a manual anchor winch as well.
