raz88 96
Interesting that ETNZ were tied to this by accepting the support of LR. Means they never could have signed the framework agreement even if they'd wanted to.
erice 732
they need 20knots wind to go almost as fast as the cats going to be interesting to see; - where the race course is - when the races are scheduled - what the wind ranges are - how often then pig around in displacement mode, dragging lifting foils in suboptimal winds - or if they can somehow magic them into flying in 6knts of breeze... MarkMT 68
Will be interesting to see if Ashby stays. I wouldn't blame him if he bails.
Steve 34
I don't care if the breeze never gets to the point of getting them to foil. Some comment has it that the 2 hour races in monohulls were boring. They weren't for me. At least I could relate to the boats. The cats had nothing for the average sailor. There were 2 or 3 guys actually sailing, and no chance of any trickle down from the technology. Yes, it was exciting, but was it sailing? All those skills we'd developed over a thousand years like having a top bowman were suddenly redundant. I'm super excited, can't wait.
waikiore 400
Dont worry KM next year Harken will be selling Eastern made clip on foils for the older lightweight monohulls around here, that will lively up the ssanz races..... Peter V in the shop is taking orders
