Priscilla II 395
Here is a fascinating massage from Joyon that gives us a clue about how on earth he manages to stay awake and keep his huge racing machine on track. “Just before the start,” he said, “someone told me the story of Tibetan monks, who never slept and made do with a few moments of shut-eye, while holding noisy objects which, when they fell to the tiled flooring in their cell, immediately would wake them. Those short moments of sleep are more useful in terms of recovery than any other form of sleep. Just as well, as since the start, that’s about all I have had too!”
Battleship 100
New top speed for HUGO BOSS.....38.5 knots
philstar 61
I waiting for Hugo Boss to blow up. Everyone else is buttoning off protecting their boats and he's setting a new top speed for his boat. It won't be the first time. Pity about Sam Davies she's a rockstar!! Battleship 100
Could blow up, but they have pretty good load sensors nowadays so he knows how hard he can push. Will be interesting to see how it plays out getting around the Azores high.
waikiore 400
His history is full of just pushed it a bit too far moments
raz88 96
He's also made it around the world with the boat in more or less it's current configuration, including through some fairly tough conditions.
Priscilla II 395
Maybe the last race for Alex in this particular yacht as he has another due for delivery next year, attempting to vanquish his Vendee demons.
Fish 0
I was wondering if this was AT's old boat or his new one. Considering its his old one, and he's got a delivery date for a replacement, he can drive this one like its stolen... Really flog the sh*t out of it and see if can't win a major event having missed out on the cigar so many times. I saw this boat for sale or lease in one of the UK mags, clearly branded and marketed as Alex Thompson's Hugo Boss, they didn't bother trying on the 'one careful lady owner' line
Priscilla II 395
Good text description from Boris. https://www.borisherrmannracing.com/news/day-5-updates-from-boris-rdr/
Battleship 100
Boris is doing well, went his own way and still got speed south, time will tell is he pays the price or not for hanging in the North. The Ultimes are getting interesting with 260m to go and Joyon only 50 miles behind Garbart and closing, he might run out of runway though as they are covering 600 miles plus per 24 hours. Both will smash the previous record.
Priscilla II 395
Gabart has rudder and board damage whilst Joyon breathing down his neck. https://tracking.routedurhum.com/
philstar 61
Hats off To alex so far. He seems to have survived the nasty stuff and is still leading. Hopefully his luck stays in and he doesn't hit anything. I may have to eat my words.

Battleship 100
Looks like they are both parked now, from memory IDEC is a bit light so may be easier to get moving again.
