Priscilla II 445
Wonderful celebration of NZ wooden boat history on display so get off the couch and get down to the Viaduct. Sadly nothing Maori or Polynesian of any substance.

Black Panther 1,765
There was a great display of naori and Polynesian ocean going vessels at the Auckland museum a number of years ago. Terrific.

Terrific. Well worth a look a rare opportunity to see the only existing Maori mainsail sail complete with soft shackles. https://www.aucklandmuseum.com/visit/exhibitions/te-ra
Sudden5869 17
The Wooden Boat Festival was fantastic. Hopefully, the level of interest warrants it becoming an annual or bi annual event.
waikiore 477
I second that, got soaked but it was great to see lots of old friends and a sailing dinghy display! Reminds us what we have missed in the commercial boat shows these days.

I haven't been to a boat show for years as they are just a massive yawn with Powerboats predominating and maybe a few production yachts. I only missed this Wooden boat show as I was sailing but I hope there is another !
