  1. That was my submission; that and the fact that the boat ramp is already often full so where are all the "new" sailors going to park. Its not like they can bring the boat and gear using the fairly inadequate public transport.
  2. well that was disappointing. Too many "loosers" asking questions
  3. Looks like bidder could be a Crew member
  4. Cheers. No hurry on my account, certainly not on an Easter weekend. Boat won't be parked up there until late Monday anyway.
  5. KM, if you're doing a Gulf Harbour run I'd be interested in retaining your services as well to get those lines just right.
  6. Thanks for the lesson, just what I needed as this will be the first order of business once the boat is at GH. In a marina berth will 16mm size mooring line be sufficient for a 26' assuming I put some chaffe protection on?
  7. Warning: no racing snaps, just cruising/holidaying http://www.facebook.com/pages/Pearler/330343733670795?sk=photos

    Costa Concordia

Saw this on another forum: The current plight of the Costa Concordia recalls a comment attributed to Winston Churchill. After his retirement he was cruising the Mediterranean on an Italian cruise-liner and some Italian journalists asked him why an ex-British Prime Minister should choose an Italian ship. "There are three things I like about being on an Italian cruise-ship", said Churchill. "Firstly, their cuisine is unsurpassed. Secondly, their service is superb. And then, in time of emergency, there is none of this nonsense about women and children first".
