Its been there for years. I saw it actually sailing towards Waiheke on the first race of the Commodores Cup. Often wonder the same thing

Addem, Id suggest looking to recalc the speedo and would also suggest you probably went a bit faster than that. One of my crew during a coastal several years ago hit over 17 knots and then decided it was logging to fast, so reduced the calibration off Sail Rock, which meant even though we went faster a bit later on, nobody broke his record...and we never got around to recalibrating. That does sound like good times!

You should be doing the coastal!!!!

Ha, moot point I guess... I suppose we have all had an underlying fear one of them would take us out before the final but refused to believe it possible, wonder what the odds on that happening now are

Thanks, that's ridiculous

Can someone explain the points system to me please? From memory ousa can carry points into the final, which is first to 5 anyway? For some reason I think they can carry 2 points into the final if they win the first round?

Id suggest you get on facebook then, if only for this event, if you can use a tracker then you can use facebook, simply like this 1 page and be done with it. Coverage was fine, live starts, updates... If you dont like that answer, then dont complain about sh*t coverage, cause it was all there....having yer head on the sand b/c you dont like social media or whatever is irrelevant. This is where it is heading, whether you like it or not. Same for Transpac.

Bazza, make sure you use the anode attached to the engine that goes over the side. When I put that system in it started burning through the anode on the leg. The sparky thought I may have been earthing the whole pier. Was the simplest system they thought that would be covered by the regs when they installed it, but they did say that they couldnt figure out the regs themselves and that was the best option

The Spectra has an auto flush so you can leave it on and it willclean itself every 24hours. But its a prick of a thing to setup. I did that for 2 years until I tirned it off in error and wasnt able to easily set up the auto flush again. But in saying that, I pickled mine as it was a pain in the arse and I wasnt even using it... and when I did turn it on, I managed to root the membrane. A water maker guru told me the Spectra was the worst product on the market that he services/repairs. I didnt ask him why though, I just wanted it fixed and shut down. Instead Ive plumped the roof to collect w
