One idea I liked was a short passage race to somewhere nice, every boat to cook a dish en route, then a potluck on arrival .. prize to the best tasting dish cooked underway.

Not at all. What I am saying is that I believe they are fighting a losing battle and the measures they are attempting are totally useless (happy to be convinced otherwise). Therefore the sooner it happens the sooner they will go away and leave us alone.

If so please ask What are their chances of success? What are they doing about commercial vessels, fishing boats, navy, cruise ships? What are they doing about the mass of boats that will sail there from Auckland and never go to the marina? Repeat - what are the chances of success? Are they aware that the best solution for recreational boating would be for the MFW to become established sooner rather than later so all this nonsense will go away?

No doubt, but what about the 4 million other boats that never go near a marina?

That's hilarious. I'm bringing the boat down here Labour weekend, then going back to the mooring in Opua. no marina involved. This will achieve nothing except maybe stop a few people going to a marina.

Bayswater and GH allow liveaboards. From GH take the ferry to work. Don't know if Bayswater have a ferry.
