  1. How do you landscape view these apps on your devices.
  2. Bloody well built. Like the old school lay shaft.
  3. Not sold. Capable looking alloy cruiser that would scrub up well. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/boats-marine/yachts/keeler/auction-2042729964.htm
  4. Zozza unfortunately “simple” is not in fashion anymore specifically more so when it comes to Auckland City Council Inc. Your so obvious solution to use a existing established functioning city wide pay and display parking control system that even sees the ticket dispensing machines run on solar will be rejected because it lacks access and opportunity for ticket clipping consultants, peer review gravy trains and health and safety rorts.
  5. Skypath if it ever flies will require that area for all the SUV that cyclists drive.
  6. Bloody right there Zozza.Crikey imagine the berth rent hikes to offset the AI plate recognition technology and subsequent enforcement compliance costs. Too damned big brother for my thinking. The swipe barrier would be hard to implement given the shared layout of yellow and white areas.
  7. Reading the email and also being Irish are Westhaven requesting vehicle rego numbers and drivers license details. If so what on earth for. Crikey next they will be asking for a seaman sample. The present system from our perspective does not need alteration and given the cheapening quality of the issued parking permits you can see the bean counters have been at play.

  10. We occupy a berth on the finger of doom and neglect in Westhaven where without averting ones eyes it is a f**king depressing walk to the yacht. Two SR 26,s side buy side one a minter the other a long neglected eyesore. Ruby the once mint 88 firmly attached by growth and neglect to the ocean floor. Stinkpot and anther couple of craft of unknown lineage in a similar neglected condition. I am sure that every Mary Celeste on H pier has aintriguing tale of woe and despair attached so it was a great delight to see Pikelet all loved up.
  11. Used to lie in my bunk at anchor and via my mobile as a router buy stuff on my ipad from Trademe and arrive home to have the said goodies awaiting. Two mobiles two tablets they sure eat a bit of juice then you chuck in the two grand kids and their devices. Crikey I was so glad I sold the kids to fund the marina berth but I do miss my Pussy. Last week ventured out for a few nights left them devices all behind old school style, read book, slept, had great sex, rowed about grockled and swam with dolphins. Batteries had a well earned holiday.
  12. Better make the most of the opportunity. I have concerns centred around sustainable affordability ie the continual rising tide of berthage rates ,no alternative options for annual diy maintenance which in my book stands as a real issue noting the rate rises of the existing free market players and the fond but faint memory that the marina once made available hardstand areas for the berth holders. The non existent courtesy from one particular staff member I will overlook but not so sure my partner will. See you all there.
  13. Man with quick mind coupled to slow mouth will live long and prosper.
  14. Been thinking seriously about parting with Priscilla as the cost of marina fees now colours and clouds the horizon of affordable ownership in a negative and simply unsustainable light. This old log of wood that I lusted after as a younger man and latterly secured in the delightful haze and mist of love marriage and family secured its adventure creating status to become one of the our most loved. sh*t this hurts. Spent the past few days sailing cooking with kerosene reading by Tilley lamp re reading Michael Kings unbiased comprehensive history of NZ and seriously thinking that along with the

Welcome back. Crikey we have missed your in depth knowledge and informed opinions.

  17. If you are looking to spray your house, roof, fence or any large area using acrylic the airless is the only option. If you are spraying anti foul, epoxy tar or products like Interprotect the airless is the only option. For hull topsides ,2 pack applications ,enamels and smaller areas and stuff gravity feed spray guns with a compressor are the only option. Gun tip size is critical for best finish with both systems. A water trap for compressor spraying is essential. My professional painter does interior doors to a excellent finish using airless and enamel paint but he is a professional.
  18. Computers have their place. Come by the Squadron and see all the models stacked in the upper window of the Richmond. Old school here.

  20. Crikey Adrian thanks for the sore brain reading that. So it is not allowed to clean ones hull of natural reoccurring bio fouling without paying some coining it outfit within 500m of shores. Look I do not begrudge those that make a living cleaning others bums but last time I was on the Dock what was Sharpies $120 transmogrified to $190. Ok his father paid $2m for the rig but slow down boy you don’t have to repay Poppa Bear all in one year.
  21. Not sure about that Waikore you could be right though. That strake that settles through the waterline and deeper makes me think she was a working boat. Will post a pic on WBf and see what drops out.
  22. Those pictured have a fastening on the topside. These are shaped to hull and tuck under toe rail. Preferred legs no fastenings required but lousy for cleaning bum.
  23. Westhaven Berth rates which are recent and consistently rise every year. Some years the rate of increase is more spectacular than the preceding season. Marina is full. Long waiting list so best to purchase yacht with transferable marina which will require permission.
  24. Been keen on giving these beach legs a go for a while. Now where can you find a quiet spot to give your bottom a quick rub without some dobber posting you on social media.
