    Wondered that myself , more room for my dinghy with them away, we may be seeing Tiny ripping into the harbour tomorrow evening at this rate

    The awlwood does seem to last well, but at the cost I prefer to do a coat of West then seven of good varnish, very easy to touch up and I have it on the shelf.

    Yes there has been a large drop in membership, since Team Dalton took the cup and the corporate money that came with it. Of course the club could save a lot by sacking the newly hired doof doof DJs that have been driving the paying members to the other side of the building or away home on a Friday and Sunday afternoon. Sunday afternoon Jazz now thats an idea☠️ Luckily the sailing side of things is continuing well.

    I still believe that something has been lost , since those early days-the romance, the adventure,the parties, 29 competitors coming in to Auckland -crews staying on board unless they got lucky ! Not rushing off to the dietician and gym. Four boats currently racing......

    If the boats dont break they are clicking off some huge days on the big leg Cape Town -South America 544 NM in a 60' monohull.

    Yes unfortunately its a there and back this time, still they may recognise some of the waves.. And it appears that Zest has done her RNI so probably (understandably decided to stay near home)

    Strange that Playbouy is showing on the tracker as being in Mangonui this morning? Has Guy borrowed another Stewart rig or is he going to jump on someone elses boat ????

    Nice to see Playbouy going the full classic route for this event -with a bowsprit as Pahi and the other glass one did when they went round a few years back.

    While its not raining (for now) open everything up and let the breeze blow through fresh water will dry.

    You are lucky to have a triple skin one , will require less maintenance than the carvel Woolacotts and probably have the designers hull shape more accurate .

    This time last year he was pedalling the length of NZ in the Tour Aotearoa, then came back and did the Three Kings race two handed -in fact there were a number of crew who had just done the TA on that race! These guys know how to live -good on him.
