Just to be clear, i wasnt serious, but if weather is good, it must be easier than swimming...

yeah... but Gavin Brady did sail his p-class across cook strait...

Mana to the sounds is not that bad, I've done in a boat slower than a weta,(see my photo) also had the benefit of a motor when the wind died and easy to adjust sail. 

 

If you can get it delivered I would talk to the freight office at StraitNZ (Bluebridge) you need the freight part not  the Bluebridge passenger side. 

 

Mana cruising club is a good idea too.

depending on height of ferry's freight deck roof of course

In the end it's coming on a car transporter for $500 down to ChCh, thanks for all the advice went with this as it's the easiest option.
