I find myself not really caring if they take the thing to Italy. Spending x hundred million on a new wharf to me is kinda like putting in a luxury you could easily do without, like say a swimming pool in your back yard when the mortgage is maxed out. Or are the council going to come out of it breaking even?

It does seem an argument worth exploring whether to use what space we have (and have the camps in 3 different locations) rather than shell out $80-$100M to build a wharf that sticks out further into the harbour though doesn't it?

Was just reading that. When we had our boat at Bayswater I often drove past thinking it could be turned into a great house. (obviously two chances of that ever happening...) Pretty interesting they sailed it around there back in the 20's. If council is going to stop the sale I guess they're going to front up with the money to restore it?
