Psyche 632
Turned up in the marina recently, very small indeed Makes the 930 look like Ross 40 Auckland Islands you say? Very practical and sorted Happy is the man who is content with what he has, why go bigger? https://boatingnz.co.nz/swirly-waves/ Quote “I’d read all the books about solo sailors – Joshua Slocum, Francis Chichester, Adrian Hayter, Moitessier, Robin KnoxJohnston, David Lewis, Shane Action, Bill Belcher – and the ultimate DIYer, Johnny Wray. chariot 243
That boat has done a lot of miles. Don't think the comport level would be too high.

Romany 162
Much respect for this guy, but crikey, Swirly is little. He must be a bit madder than your average mad guy. I suppose its as they say - "its not the size of the dog in the fight..."

ex Elly 197
That boat doesn't even have sitting headroom. The only place I could sit fully upright was in the perspex bubble. I think he spends most of his time lying down inside.

Fish 0
Apparently he was regular crew on the supply ship to Pitcairn Island, 2nd Mate I think, plotting his next adventure and practicing communing with the ocean as much as he could on a supply ship. Would be an office job, and not a bad way to earn a living and practice for the solitude a of a 4 capes attempt, I guess.

So much incredible music every week. Good times, Karen Hay has a slot on National these days.
waikiore 399
I saw SW there last week and wondered if he was going ahead with the voyage that he delayed from two years ago, I am of similar vintage and my back hurts just looking at SW and am worried about finishing the Northern Triangle and Three Kings in one piece so I defo take my hat off to him.

You mean in the top photo, the boat next door is a tender, light weight, tippy Ross 930, and the boat infront (Swirlyworld) has been sailed Trans Tasman, to the Kermadecs and to the Auckland Islands, and may very well be sailed around the Southern Ocean passing all 4 Capes? Faaarrrkkk! PS, the Ross does look like a 40 in those photos.
