  1. Seems to be a pretty common way to get rid of a boat, park it leave the keys in the ignition and walk away.

  3. I hope that Neil warns of the danger of scurvy at the briefing tonight , for any of the piedies that get lost, of course a guide to the edible nuts and berries on Motutapu Rangi and the Noises should be compulsory on board.

  4. Definitely a hijack. Current sense termination is really the only sensible way to charge LFP. This ZM5 unit does not monitor current and it has no alternator temp sensing. If it does not measure the temperature then it can not back off the output current and the alternator will cook itself if it gets to hot. It's the same as running an engine without a temperature sensor/warning - it will be absolutely fine, until the day it isn't... It sets the output voltage, holds it there for a set period of time once it is reached and then backs off to a float voltage after that t

  5. My 406G expired last year. I contacted GME and could have replaced the batteries for $240. New ones would have lasted 6 years. Did the maths and bought a new MT600G with 10 year batteries. Cost was around $40 per year for old unit with 6 years life, versus $40 per year for new unit with 10 year span.
