This is our portable one. Simple press the button...can sit in cockpit, deck etc. Fully self contained. Battery needs a charge every few months.

Data from the BOP Regional Council wave bouy off Pukehina Beach for April 2021. Max wave height a little over 4m on the 22nd. Better data capture at Bowentown (similar max height);

The weather station on White Island (near the west summit) is very sensitive to topographic affects. It often gives 'unusual' data.

After 30 yrs in trailer yachts, the most important consideration is the prop on the bottom.. a suitable sail drive version. Next step would be long shaft for transom installations. I've always had 2-stroke, but the 4-strokes are making a impact. Two questions: 1) What are people using for an antenna ? 2) Are the marine radios (like Fusion,GME) better than a car system? In terms of sensitively etc. Currently have a car system but reception is very poor.

I've had a ProMarine (2.7m) with inflatable keel and solid floor for 5 yrs. Brought 2nd hand so have got my $ worth from a Chinese inflatable.... weighs 22kg.
