    Diesel Filters

Jeez! seals must have gone I guess. Don't skimp on your filters. Go for the glass bowl type and have them easily seen/accessible so you can check/change them. There are probably some other surprises in your fuel tank too...
  2. Flynn, don’t let them put you off. Port Fitzroy is great for the local shop and the pub in the evening. It’ll be very quiet at this time of year. I would say the anchorage is of medium difficulty. Don’t just throw it over the side and hope for the best! If you don’t want that then head for one of the many beautiful bays.
  3. You're kidding right? The holding by the warf at port fitzroy is bad, and there is not much room with all the boat traffic. Your better to go to Wairahi bay or Smokehouse bay. No I'm not. It's deepish but apart from that it's fine. Never had any trouble. All the boat traffic? You been there at this time of the year!
  4. Just drop your anchor opposite the wharf at Ftzroy. There is plenty of room and it's good holding.

I was thinking the same! would make a great looking cat if you got rid of the extra weight in the middle...

The 18ft Skiffs are the kings of this... man those guys push things to the limit and way past it. "Win or Swim!" in our calm Waitemata Harbour

This is the most common from what I have surveyed. Overide, jam etc. Multi sailing is just soooo much fun though! To quote my wife “… Maybe what draws you all together is that you’re all just seconds away from pitchpoling and shared stress has been proven to be bonding”

Would the Farrier type of option have worked where you flood one ama and bring her up sideways?

Jeez sorry to hear that. When we were bailing the guys were saying that all you needed was some expanding foam to fill the hole and you'd be out there for the Simrad!
