Fish 0
Storm warning in force for everywhere...(Auckland area)
Vorpal Blade 89
Disturbingly this thing was spotted in our mooring area the other day and reported to the HM office, hopefully they can do something about it quick. The bow fairlead has broken off and the top rope is being sawed through by the forestay and gunwale. Its down to 1 1/2 bit of the 3 strand rope and its directly upwind of us in a W breeze, hopefully it stays attached.
Fish 0
Is it time to double up the mooring lines?4 Did you double your lines BP? Might get noisy tonight with the wind forecast... Some good thunderclaps here in Whangaparaoa, one was close and load enough for my 3 year old to decide he was scared - luckily the 5 year old thinks they are exciting
Black Panther 1,675
Did it this morning as I am at work most of the day. Yes that thunderstorm was noisy.

Fish 0
83 gusting 115 when I looked just now, from 291. Hope it stays out west... 83 sustained is mildly traumatizing. Note the elevation there is 244 m though, so up high on a headland.
dutyfree 170
Just went down to Westhaven, horizontal spray under the bridge, tree debris everywhere, power out. West Auckland is black. Power boat around the corner is is now parked perpendicular to the road!
Black Panther 1,675
We had a couple of really big gusts around 9. Fish, didn't notice anything out of place on charlatan when we went past.
wheels 543
Wow, that is going to spring clean out of the Mooring fields.Did I mention it's freakin freezing down here? OK, it isn't as cold as a mid winter blast, but having gone from mid 20's to, as the Met service says, "feels like 4", is a shock to the system.
Winter 42
went down to westhaven last night about 2330. counted about 15 headsails unfurled and torn to shreds. Furled up someones on X that was half out. checked my boat and then got westhaven to let me in to check friends boats on another pier.
