Young Entertainer 59
must have been a bad day in Oneroa, we left there about 4pm and had to rescue an upside down 15ft tinny just by the entrance, was being towed by a small fizz boat that was struggling, so we hooked a halyard onto it, anchored so we faced the breeze and then hoisted it the right way up. previous occupants looked shell shocked!
ex Elly 161
Lots of pan pans yesterday. Boat swamped at Motuihe, and a dinghy flipped near Karaka Bay with the fisherman rescued by a jetski.

Could have been a bit nasty at times, but the forecast wasn't so bad that people stayed ashore.
ex Elly 161
Agree. The forecast was for 15 knots in the Waitemata, but we got 20-25. I think that caught a few people out.
wheels 543
So they are going to have to change the name from "Seize the Day" to "Seized by the Day", "Seized by the Bay" or, "More than Seized".
waikiore 344
Think we passed the IT heading for Gulf Harbour, we were heading for Rangi light next to a Piedy who was ripping into Milford under kite.

Yep, quite likely. Quite a few boats heading down to Auck when we came home. Nice breeze

DBLRUM 6
We saw 3 Coastguard vessels heading out one behind the other on the same day & around the same time as posted above. One turned back shortly after so I am guessing it was the same boat as this one in distress poor people!
