  1. it pretty cool to see a lot of boats have gone through massive changes. Timberwolf, dragon, voom etc. And look at the heads on all the old mains. Roach my arse.
  2. TWU looks a bit different now. Looks cozy in the cockpit too. Who is the tri in the background?
  3. Seems the boat has been found off the australian coast http://www.livesaildie.com/sailing-vessel-harlech-located-seized-help-livesaildie/
  4. heres St Laurence in welly (ex catattack), guessing around 2005?
  5. Catattack has had a few names. Wang computers, catattack, St Laurence, now G force. I did a lot of sailing on her in welly as St laurence.
  6. loving the pics bill, keep em coming. got any older ones of voom/lunatic fringe/whatever else she has been called?
  7. That is an awesome summary Booboo. Thank you. Ours is a bit small to care about much yet, but not long till it will become a lot more important. I can't believe you haven't walked up rangi yet!
  8. Given we have just started the family, that is a brilliant idea Josh.
  9. not a helpful comment I know, but I love outboards.......
  10. I told my wife she wasn't getting a ring till I had a boat. We bought a boat, 6 weeks later she got a ring (after I had seen her scraping barnacles and antifoul out of the centreboard cases)
  11. The last few storms started the process....
  12. I thought it made them all look stupid and unprepared. I would be embarrassed if anyone who saw that thought that is the kind of thing I was involved with when I do a race to fiji.
  13. the reason we arn't racing today is that the other crew couldn't make it (work), and ash wanted to work on her boat.... Its not at all because the responsible skipper went on a stag do last night and is not his normal healthy self today
  14. Thanks Dean. You'll keep...
  15. I'm working on it. I understand Freeeeeeeedom should be getting a call from the maintnece contractor too, with regards to an official height. The allowable heights shoud be on the structures, but it is a bit late when you get there to see if it is too low... I'm confident 8.5s will be fine, would be waiting for something official befoe planning your trip though Tim. I'll give you the story up at marsedn cove.
  16. was that something you weren't supposed to share? Just being sensible (arse covering). I worked out a safe height, and can talk about things offline, but it may be on my head if the info I provided was out there on the net and was misused. The appropriate way to get the information is to ask Transpower, who can officially reply. Its all good for 8.5s though, I will talk to you about your mast height when I collect my new go fast storage bags.
  17. if we are free whenever its proposed, I'm keen
  18. Charts for the area should gve the official clearance, but I will look it up as well. Not something you want to hit with an ali mast, especially me - how would I explain that on monday morning...?
