  2. Funny, just randomly found this thread and realised that was me in the tender who told PW to STFU. I was trying to ignore the music but the two kids couldn't sleep. The owner/skipper seemed quite reasonable at the time and i was as surprised as anyone that the music actually stopped! To put this in perspective, this wasn't a regular or even top end stereo playing music; there was a PA speaker attached a few metres up the backstay going full bore. There's a difference between boisterous partying and deliberately inflicting your music choice on a whole anchorage. I hope the new owner

  8. It will be fine. Particularly if you are with a good dinghy club with others also making the same step up. Half of it is getting confidence around the increased size and speed. And once she has had a couple of capsizes and figured out how to right it life will be much more relaxed. We put a reef in our daughters main (1263) and she used it a lot.   9. People all use their boats for different things. For some its a quiet weekend away, others its family time but there are a lot of people who go out to socialise and some that party pretty hard. If you go into a crowded anchorage then there is a good likelihood of coming across one or more of the later type of cruisers. I have done all of the different types of cruising, plenty of partying but more of the family cruising these days. I'm not going to be a hypocrite and tell other people they cant party on their boats just because my priorities have changed with 3 kids on board (and at the a
