  6. Returning from the Merc's a couple weeks ago we saw 2 leatherback turtles, about 5 miles north of the Tauranga entrance. Reading up on them it appears they are common off the NZ coast. I've asked around an no one seams to have ever seen one. This has got me thinking how common are they? Has anyone here seen them while sailing around the coast?

  16. The concept of no 'datum reference ' for the cloud sourced data is a worry. Having a couple of metres of vertical randomness in the data is a concern. What is the meaning of LAT as used above for how the contours are displayed?
  17. Talked to auto electrician... the key is ring spanner and a suitably large mass that has an effect over a short distance when applied to end of said spanner. A steel rod with slot to fit on spanner would work wonders.
  18. As the title say I need to remove one for a service .... can sorta access it via the side (hatch in qrt berth) but have very little space to swing any tools. Removing alternator and possibly compressor as well I think I can see it, just need a 500mm extension to reach bolts. Any collective experience, wisdom ... thanks

Great to see the support, here is our latest thoughts: ALLAN CIVIL MEMORIAL RACE AND COVID SAFETY The situation remains fluid as you all know, however we remain committed to holding this event as planned on Saturday 20 November. We have considered date changes and are concerned we will flood the calendar in the New Year with catch up events or the next crisis will stop us holding the event. We can do it now so we are going for it at this time. To help keep everyone safe: • Scan with your Covid app. • We will need you to register all people associated with your boat whe
