At the boat show yesterday....saw a lot of order books been signed. Big crowd walking around buying fishing gear aswell. No I don't buy or paid a deposit on anything. No sailing boats or equipment on show. -

Apparently they had hydraulic problems for both days.

They were improving over the regatta getting a 4th & 5th, obviously not used to the antiquated sailing equipment.π They did lead at the fist mark in the last group race but dropped off the foils at the bottom mark, missed the layline. Just like my school reports........"could do better", "room for improvement", "needs to concentrate".π

WTF! Why are the boat & wind speeds in KPH instead of KNTs, is it to fool the great unwashed that these boats are faster than the AC boats?

They are used in light floppy conditions, stopping the spinnaker wrapping around the forestay, it went up the forestay in fixed the the deck half way along "J". You could it was the first type of string headsail.π

To me a rock is a ROCK and an island is an ISLAND if it has dirty, sand and vegetation on it. Not hard to define. Ok some rocks might have a tree or two on it but it wouldn't have a beach.
