    Mouldy covers

ive recently redone mine with that 303 spray. works very well. water beads off and doesnt seep thru
  9. Thanks PeteG, Ive since found someone makes another version with the flange at 30degrees; see here https://www.melloronline.co.uk/Heater_Installation_Accessories_/4674/24mm_Stainless_Steel_Exhaust_Skin_Fitting_(Straight-Short).html this one would still need some pipe welding on it to give it an upward angle. Or should I just try find someone to custom build instead of modifying this?
  10. I could take the large. but im overseas for a week or two. duty free appletons is a bargin
  11. I'm in the process of installing an Eberspacher / webasto diesel heater. I'm stuck on where / how to mount the exhaust through hull; looks like this. The angle is meant to point up. I have a Beale 33. the obvious spot on the transom to put this is on an angle; such that when you place the exhaust on the angle, the piece that is meant to angle up is now almost horizontal. This means that any water ingress would sit in the exhaust piping, not the nice stainless bit. They provide a manual here which details some of how to mount it, but not any permissible angles or anything.
  12. People smuggling! never mentiond if the client would be onboard for retrieving at the end of the day..
  13. my oh my. That is the ideal setup - I have a Zeus2. What about the other AP options on the MFD - different turn types etc?
  14. Are you 100% on this? I thought the N2k on the TP series only did heading outputs and a couple other little bits on n2k but no control from MFD, ie no +1 +10 etc from a navico MFD I hooked one up breifly as a test and could't get any AP functions to show.. Seriously hoping I am wrong, but I want to see it with my own eyes before I shell out for a new TP and p9...
  15. +1 for anodizing - that stuff looks the bees knees when done well and lasts for ever.

    Bilge alarm

Really? The GSM logo is used to identify compatible devices and equipment. The dots symbolize three clients in the home network and one roaming client.[1] GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) is a standard developed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) to describe the protocols for second-generation digital cellular networks used by mobile devices such as tablets, first deployed in Finland in December 1991.

    Rudder indicators

Glad to hear it is solved. some of the vdo indicators do actually have an adjustment pot, however it is set at the factory and not accessible. if you carefully drill a hole in the side of the housing you can shine a light in and look, you can then workout where on the housing the pot is, and drill another hole right above that. I have a VDO voltmeter I adjusted in this way
  19. Hey Matt Are any of these 0183 wind sensors? I'm after a cheapie for testing with a raspberry pi project
  20. Anybody have a pilot book or similar for Croatia they want to lend? Starting to plan a holiday
  21. went down to westhaven last night about 2330. counted about 15 headsails unfurled and torn to shreds. Furled up someones on X that was half out. checked my boat and then got westhaven to let me in to check friends boats on another pier.
  22. RYA ICC. will cost you around 700bucks and take half a day. works pretty well everywhere (ie can be used as a boat license in Australia). It is the most recognised in europe and is what I got for a greek charter last year.
  23. I was very tempted to do DIY - we service electronics for work - so can certainly change a battery. I paid the $260ish to have them do it - otherwise the date printed on the side of the epirb would be wrong. Turns out they just stuck a label maker sticker over the date with a new date.. What sort of battery is inside?
