Hotdogger Locked and loaded for tomorrow. Packed start line in the Safety at Sea division- 45+ boats!

Looks like enough breeze to make it back to Eden Park in time for the game 😅

Talk us through your day Nigel.

I jumped on Serena to fill in for one of the owners who couldn't make it. Bloody cool boat and we managed to win the long haul division.

Big park up under Rangitoto that took a few hours to negotiate but overall a really nice day on the water.

Thanks to Brendan on Kick (Kick ass) for taking my 14 year old as crew for this series.

Had a conservative start but were looking good until the mass park up event.

At one stage we were drifting backwards towards rangi light... Phil on Feedom sailed up close enough to give us some banter before they too ended up parked 😅

Then it was a couple of hours of Snakes and Ladders, instead of holding one type of sail and chasing breeze all over the place we opted to aim straight at Haystack and just keep changing sails as the breeze did it's thing.

It paid off with us smoking into the mark with masthead Genny up in front of our fleet before having to douse the kite, aim towards Auckland and retire. Previous commitments intervening unfortunately.

Bloody nice sail home though, hopefully that's the one drifter of the series out of the way 👍🏾

Didnt realise it was you on Serena, you were gone after Billy Goat point! We got bit lucky to connect the dots into the Southerly while the fleet did the second restart for the day.

The improvements seem to be working

We had a nice day on Krakatoa. She's a bit sticky in that stuff, and not set up for quick sail changes/peels. Quite happy with how we went even if the result isn't that flash.

From Awash Rock to the finish it was a lovely sail. Got a bit dark going past Tiri.

Bad luck Josh, I know how hard you've been trying to be a cruiser.  You've well and truly cocked that up.  They'll never let you back in now.

Thank you Jon. Weather looks great. We have had a busyish week, mast track being glue back on, #3 being repaired, juts put main back on this morn, ran some sheets, need to grab a sandwich and we are ready for the 100!
