Looing at the Copper coat thread i had a look at the HullWell website and saw the DeFoul? I sanded a few years of antifoul of last time out of the water but have more to go next time, curious if anyone has tried this ? so how do you tell the difference between the guy getting into a tender, probably a nice stable inflatable, and going to shore and the $150 tinnie of trade me with two mates (and 2 inches of freeboard) going a out in the Manakau to get a feed? of course the first one is less likely to fall in (but not impossible) the second, all too often do end up in the water. Both are a in small boat near to shore, that's where the accidents happen, simplifying the rules isn't the biggest imposition that every happened for the first ighy and might just save a life or two in the second one ,

on the tiller pilot you press the two '+' or '-' buttons together, depending which way you want to go and it goes through a 100deg turn and straighens out. easy!

for tacking etc are you using the current autopilot? most will have a tack function that allows you to deal with sails

unrelated question, does a VSR need to have a voltage on both sides to work? thinking of a non-bating application where i want to switch something on only over a specified voltage. so battery on one side and a load on the other

actually that's not a bad idea, but not "to rule them" just to sell them. Basically set up an online Govt "supermarket", a shop front to allow purchase payment for whatever you need from Govt. The individual items/license or whatever would be administered under whatever part of govt they come from but then it only need one on line site that does payments, security etc. rather than each department having to set that up.

it was written in an age when the rule was read with understanding about what it was to achieve, not the current trend of looking at a rule and immediately trying to find a way around it. Simple is seldom easy to write.
