MarkMT 68
Interesting to see how different American Magic's foil design is from TNZ... via Sail-World https://www.sail-world.com/news/222034/Americas-Cup-American-Magic-sailing-images More images here: https://farevela.net/2019/09/14/american-magic-le-foto-dei-dettagli-dellac75-americano/ harrytom
chariot 133
Looks like a modified 12m keels.
ex Elly 51
Haha, did Ben Lexcen design those?
B00B00 170
I would say those foils are just training ones with extra weight added in the form of the bulbs to stop it from capsizing.
Island Time 772
Yeah, seems likely. IIRC the foil arms to be used are standard across the teams, so does that mean the foil main arm only then, or the T foil arms? I guess you can practice/learn with whatever, but you need to use the supplied ones for the racing?

lateral 110
I thought all the foils were one class, made in Italy, but the boats were open? AM is quite a flatter cross section amidships. No low speed foil assist bulge? Perhaps boat 2 will get preggers. Or ETNZ visa versa.
Veladare 29
Foil arms yes, but appendages attached to them no
180S 16
I know there is a limit on the number of foils that can be used (6 ?) and a sand box shape that they must fall within, but is there anything to prevent articulating the wing on the end of the foil arm. Looking at this bulb on AM would it give a variable range of lift control with a single foil ? MarkMT 68
The class rule refers to "foil flaps" that are apparently connected to the foil wing and are moveable. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xZRwGU-q4zGlD1jfStdY2kpzVB9PM96w/view As far as I can see, the foils we've seen so far don't have them, so I guess there's stuff still under wraps.
