Zozza 263
No boating allowed, but why mention parking permits will be enforced if they aren't letting anyone down to the marina? But - earlier it says let one of them know if you want them to check on your boat. Why can't I? Or can I?
erice 731
park in the right spot "access is via tag only" ie no crew codes will be issued just don't expect to leave the marina
The big T 37
Checked mine today - first time. All good and no hassles. Even noticed a few working on boats. Surprised at number of cars in carpark.
Fish 0
Going to your boat isn't 'boating'. Going out on your boat would be.

I'm planning to heading out to the boat on her mooring under Level 3 to work on her, seeming as my work has dropped down a few days a week. Its 500m off the wharf, do I perfectly comply and Row out/in? Or do I use the outboard like normal? The outboard is lower risk but breaking the "motorised" rule. Deep Purple 492
My understanding is that you can check it, do essential work for safety, but hanging out your boat for the day, listening to Marley, smoking a doobie while pretending to service a winch is a no-no

wheels 543
All these can I, Why can't I questions are very easy to clearly answer. Under level 3, you can pop down to the boat to check it over, but there are stricked rules in relation to keeping distance from other people. However, you cannot row out to the Boat. Reason is, rowing out puts you at risk of something going wrong and if something goes wrong and you need rescuing, then you put the rescuers at risk. So you cannot row out to a Boat on a Mooring. I know it's silly and there is greater risk crossing the road than falling out of the Tender, but them''s the rules and that's the reason why. This is an Email from our Marina today in regards to the rules in the Marina Quote IMPORTANT UPDATE RE: MARINAS / LAUNCHING RAMP CLOSURES - COVID-19 Can't see the images? ScottiE 174
Looks like Coastguard didn't get the memo today - oh wait there was no memo. The slimeballs at SNZ updated their rules today - no press release or memo by the looks. Orwell would laugh! Anyway the "information" used to be Play-Recreation-and-Sport-Detailed-Level-1-4-Table.pdf but today, as anticipated, it has been "updated" to Play-Active-Recreation-and-Sport-at-Alert-Levels-4-4.pdf So Wheels, you are not correct in saying "However, you cannot row out to the Boat. Reason is, rowing out puts you at risk of something going wrong" because it is possible under the "current" rules - to row within "close range of the shore (no more than 200m away)" - that might change by the time I wake up in the morning, or perhaps before I even go to bed tonight - who knows - it's a mystery! However, the loonie socialists at SNZ simply can't acknowledge a boatowner's need to check/maintain their boat and have included included the following statement "Water-based activities involving boats or motorised craft or equipment, or scuba diving are not allowed." My boat is within 200m of shore - I'll be paddleboarding out to it, and then going for a swim around it - with a scrubbing brush. F**k them!
ScottiE 174
are these the same "no ones" who coned off the sea side of Tamaki Drive today, you know 'cause it was just too nice a day to let anybody linger to enjoy it?
