    Danbuoy wtb

I own and make the Weaver Dan buoy, let me know which part of the country you're in and I'll let you know who has stock.
  2. On Trademe, most likely suitable for a Tracker, Davidson 28 etc, let me know if you're a crew.org follower when you buy and and I'll give Matt his due. Cheers https://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1794714846
  3. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1273/5189/products/DW4160PB.jpg?v=1511314562 Hopefully the above link takes you to fosters for the spring loaded catch, cool in all brass but expensive. Haven't found a cheaper version here but plenty on ebay etc.
  4. Toll cheap but slow. Mainfreight better for tracking. Neither badly priced IMO and I've sent a few. Both sort out DG and know what a liferaft is.
  5. I used the "Spot" for a qualifier last year and my wife and work mates loved it as they tracked my progress. Hired it from a bloke in Christchurch, firm called Get Lost I think.
  6. Track all sorted now, thanks to crew.org member.
  7. Ross 930 self tacker track required please. My one is cracked and beyond economical repair. Rum or cash, will be down in Auckland this weekend so can collect. Also looking for dacron headsails for Ross that wife and I can play with a few ideas.
  8. Will sort that, thanks for the reply.
  9. In Whangarei we are about to start our winter series with the Whangarei Cruising Club. How can our results end up with Racetrack?
  10. Maybe Andrew should sell advance copies of his upcomming book with signing for $200 to $300 each. For the amount of enjoyment his last 2 books have given me and obviously a lot of you it could be a great fund raiser. I think he's got the fortitude to do it and wish him luck.
  11. Wilco marine westhaven. Good rafts but not iso rated so doesn't meet cat 1. But no worries for cat 3 etc.
  12. Currently using ultra 2 since January. I dive on her every 3 weeks and do have the odd bannacle appear. I use carpet to scrub and hope to get 18months. No resilience to slime though. Ps as a side note, I used white so I'd feel guilty and clean her more often.
  13. SMU has decided to withdraw. Seal hunting a way better option than playing silly buggers trying to get back from barrier to whangarei. Great sadness on boat but good luck to all participants.
  14. My understanding that War is older technology but still has a loyal following. Another choice is international micron xtra 2 in dover white, has been known to out perform more expensive product up here in the north, but it is very soft.
  15. Just received a request for survey. Completed with personal viewpoints but I've got to wonder if they the management read them. So anyway how about we put in public what we want improved? Without malice of course. I'll start...... Personal sign in like topyacht where you download your contact details and insurance dociments etc. Save everyone time and fustration while sailing singlehanded into a 35 knot southerly trying to text.
  16. Anyone down there for the start? Photos?
  17. BP, I was one of the entrants that withdrew and apparently the first for the next edition.
  18. Only moral I see is have your ducks in a row before entering, from finances to time on water to equipment.
  19. I have a Yamaha 4 stroke 8Hp in my R930 and it is pretty much 5 knots into anything and up to 7.5 knots. Bit heavy but very fuel efficient.

    Route 66

sh*t out off leigh at moment. Rain has flattened sea a bit. But lost over half my maim slugs an hour ago so slow trip
  21. Force 10's used to have that issue. Easy fix, take the knob off and stuff a bit of carboard inside the knob to act as a spacer. Something with age gets a bit bent out of shape inside and this is the easy fix. May not work for you BP but worth a shot.
  22. $40 or rum and its yours. If you want it couriered tomorrow, PM me.
  23. If we hold on to this stick does it count as a Stix?
