That was probably a good call. Was out in Firth yesterday afternoon and yes there were a few logs/wood etc and semi submerged as we had a brush with one bit. Never saw it just felt the bump as we doing were trolling at 3knts.

Well said but one point missing,is the racing yacht fraternity which think its there god given right (in some cases) expect those anchored.Be it in a yacht or powerboat,to pull pick so they can continue sailing out of the tide so not having to go about and there is also those running under kite,creating a wake sliding down the side,less than 50m doing more than 5knts. Faults on both sides. Guess the blame game needs its own thread.

I have trailer stink boat.why time constraints.Yacht would sit on mooring unused for 2 to 3 months unused.Trailer boat in backyard cost nothing.would like a trailer sailer but can't be arsed rigging it for 2 to 3 hrsuse.there us a handy compound at kkb but need to live south of the Bombay's. I believe there is no anchoring in Okahu bay due to the re seeding mussel programme ,quick search confirms. The area where the mussels are located in Okahu Bay are marked with orange inflatable marks. Based on this, there is to be absolutely no anchoring in this area, as doing so will damage the work that has been done to get the mussels in position.21/12/2021
