  12. Hello everyone. This is my first post so correct me if I'm in the wrong place. I've brought a 28 foot fin keel yacht and have sailed it from up north to Auckland but i know very little to none about sailing short of watching youtube videos for the last year. I managed to get home safely without a problem and had a blast doing so! however i would love to learn more and hear what others have to say about sailing. I'm making this post to see if someone with many years of experience would be willing to either come out on my boat or take me on theirs and show me how to set and trim sails to get the

  14. Swap your duck for fish, disassembled 8 rods n reels,1st proper clean in 3 months ,thought boat cabin was clean but nope surprising what 1 finds when 1 starts digging.

  16. 28 may 2024 Wadura a 48 foot catamaran from 2021 seeks 1 experienced sailor with minimum yachtskipper papers and fully understanding of navigation with electronics and experience of sailing offshore with sails. The tour is from NZ to Fiji and is voluntary and travel costs is on you . you must bring your own life vest and a Ticket out of Fiji or permit to stay in Fiji. you’ll get free food and your own cabin. And you must leave the boat in a day or 2 after arrival in Fiji . You will shift back to back with the captain . Not experienced don’t apply.

  22. I don't know if they are all built the same, but on my Lotus 9.2 there are three pintles and gudgeons connecting the skeg to the rudder blade. To remove the rudder blade and get at the bearings, you actually remove the each piece of wood on the rudder blade just above the supports. It's about 50mm high, and is usually screwed or glued in there as a separate piece. Once you have removed them, the rudder can be lifted off the pintles.
