Anode set for Yanmar saildrive in Nelson - Nick at Aimex he is the dealer
-
The question of course is why try to shift her while still on the bottom firmly, ning nongs
-
Its the one with the loose interior grid liner
-
There wasnt that much breeze at that time on Saturday I was down there in the sweltering heat.
-
There are a few at Milford who think its alright to dry out with the boat bolt upright or slightly leaning away from the piles too. Never could understand it when a couple of buckets of water on the gunwhale will ensure a safe degree of lean in even if you cant be there when she settles to the ground. Seen a number tip at Westhaven over the years..
-
Really begging for some of the homeless to occupy (with their fishing lines) !
-
All the big boats and some local ones use rigpro at westhaven all set up for craning in and out in fact they are doing it right now.
-
They could be a bit tricky if you went forward at night on a boat over about 50' nec minute everybody awake looking at the wake for a floater as you stroll back and ask for a coffee!
-
Intrigued to finally see this art installation erected on the wharf even without the promised giant chandelier, its a shame one side of the council doesnt talk to the other-- laneway, the fishing boat celebration, the open wharves and regatta day on anniversary weekend, but they will do the official unveiling a week or two later.....

Raymarine have had this for over ten years
-
Take my hat off to him even if he did a Moitessier now
-
Ah actually the cove to the south very open not an overnight anchorage, inside on the North side however is Marsden Cove lovely spot in settled weather but still can roll, or off the main beach in vv strong west can be good, was there on sunday.
-
Ideal for the CYA regatta up here in a month or so, in fact there were a few Dragons entered three or four years ago.
-
The numbers blow anything before out of the park, hard to comprehend. And with Sodebo Ultim going around solo in 49 days wow
-
Was a bit worried about Gopher Broke, sailed down next to him to the Mercs then anchored behind him and watched him leave solo into a fitful breeze on the 29th with an old style headsail heading for?
-
Agree KM if thats the fuse I can always shackle on another anchor.
-
Yep got them, but are stopping the storm anchor scratching my polished Kauri hull, rely on spinlock for my bouyancy
-
Oh no, Keith Manch the Wellington pin stripe suit wearing ex Policeman who is the face of Maritime NZ calling for tougher Govt backed lifejacket laws and penalties, also targetting specifically us regular long term boaties.... on National radio this morning.
-
Another great race, you organised the weather well, thanks Matt and Squid . Actually BP you are looking more relaxed all the time. And I am so happy to have gone home early and thus feel fit as a flea this morning - first time after a crew.org race!
-
And hard dinghy on deck for us, they are all such fast boats this year !
-
strong steel little Ganley touched the bottom many times when it lived in Milford
-
Look fantastic downhill compared to most of us, I was thinking how much fun they would be too, not sure about on the wind in a big breeze?
-
Great weekend with the classics down at Patio Bay and sail back, only one problem - the uniform wearing team in the coastguards flagship steaming past at Maximum displacement speed off the wharves coming home, bow pointing to the sky jets revving- just sheer ignorance causing the biggest wake on the harbour, a shame these people have no feel for hull shapes and training about nuisance and efficient driving of their boat, closely followed by Tornado 2 . power cats are not efficient unless run at the designed speeds.
-
Thanks Fish that is fantastic footage, think I would rather be on the French boat, though HB may have been a bit over pressured with that combo up.
-
I think thats the same crew who dredged Milford last time.....
