I am surprised that no-one bought the Reactor 25 that was for sale a year or two ago. It had done the Trans Tasman race, was fully refurbished, with all Cat 1 gear and sold for less than 30K. That would have been one of the cheapest ways to do the race.

Yep Mapfre and Scallywag took the safe option outside the Mercs. All the rest went through the gap then ended up close to Mayor Island. Currently they are tacking around Waihau/ Hicks/ East Cape.
