    I find trying to land Kingfish off our boat is bloody difficult as they always run at that deep rudder. Have to try and keep them clear.

    Had a mate up at Tuts that used game fish of his Lotus 10.6. Caught a Mako when motoring down on his own from the BOI to Tuts. Lay on the cockpit floor with his feet braced against the transom.

    Think you may find a lot of the older boats have been repowered. I think the Cav 39 is wheel steered, but finding a good one may now be difficult. I repowered 3 years ago and 3 other Lotus 9.2s also repowered around the same time, and that was just at Pine Harbour.

    Wheel steering cuts your options down for that price range. How many crew or kids are going to be on board or is it just you and the wife. If you push the price up a bit, a Davidson 35 or Lotus 10.6 would be worth looking at but not many with wheel steering. Plenty of 30fters in that price range but not many with a wheel

    Was over at Hamilton Island a few years back at the start of race week. Couldn't believe my eyes when about 4 McGregor 26s turned up for race week. Don't know how well they did.They seem to be popular over in there.

    Was on the MSN news site i think. Apparently it snowed there about 15 years ago also. About 230 miles inland on the ranges. Also was snowing or had snow in the Blue Mountains.

    Was in Parapara Bay at the Mercs recently and there were 3 Lotus 9.2s, a Nova, Davidson 35 and a Riva. Very unusual and all Kiwi designs. Pleasing to see. I don't count the Riva.

    Interesting how so many experts have different interpretations. Guess that is why the P class dads have their own lawyers.
