I used to sail on Club Fed. She had a winch setup for the mainsheet. Was renamed Northbound after I crewed on her.

Used to be bowman on one in my younger days. Good boats and a lot of fun but can be a bit of a brute in fresh conditions. Not sure about offshore, plenty have done it.

Had a D1-30 installed about 3 years ago. Engine mounts were too soft so had hard mounts fitted. The soft mounts caused excessive vibration with engine damn near jumping off the mounts. Other than that, no issues.

There have been some very big easterly swells around lately due to depressions off the coast. Quite a lot of damage to Buffalo Beach foreshore. A lot bigger than what is normal.

I still carry all my paper charts. Don't know how common this practice is these days.

I think you have run aground.

Probably about 33 years ago we used to get a dozen plus R26's for the Akarana winter series. A lot of us used to go down from BBYC and PYBC. Also used to have Nationals run by the home of Ravens, the PYBC.

YNZ Race Regulations Cat1-Cat5; Anomalies and concerns

You need to give evidence of new boat pushing against the tide in Whitianga harbour channel. Any engine that can do that is fit for purpose. I would suggest a large portion of boats would not pass the test. -
Why did it take 8 days before giving the deckhand some training on how to maintain a course?

Not sure if the Pogo wants to race.

I see you have some competition just over the bridge in front of the motel.

At least the rain washes the sparrow sh*t out of my cockpit

Just been talking to a guy on a 38.5 Lagoon moored to the wharf at Whitianga. The are over here from Brisbane and self isolating around the Mercury Bay area. The police came out and made contact with them at the beginning of lock down and told them they had to remain in the Mercury Bay area for the duration of lock down. Says there are a lot worse areas to spend lock down and has quite enjoyed it, thinks the Mercs are stunning. Hoping to get back across the Tasman in June but doesn't know if that will happen.

Where is that? Got me guessing.

Would be no fun out in front of your place at the moment. Blowing like hell down by the waterways -
That response has to come from the Cindy mob. All touchy feeley. Should have come on strong from the begging.

Had a similar problem a few years ago. Next thing the handles fell off. It was all down hill from there. That's why i suggested buying a new one.
-
Buy a new one.

I would think there are more going from Auckland to the Coromandel than the other way around. A lot of batch owners have been coming down for the weekends -
Who needs sky with a view like you have.

The biggest problem i have had when hunting is how not to have a heart attack while carrying a pig out of the bush. -
Having owned a Cav 32 in the past, the helm can sure load up on a reach.

Gate is locked but just use your security card to open.
