John B 105
John, Do you have some photos of that setup? Not much Doc. You mean the wings? I can do a saggy halyard and not very tidy roll after a longish/breezy sail from Coromandel... why those fenders are even there I have no idea, lazy probably.
harrytom 626
Borrowed a new set of sails yesterday just to see if it warranted spending $5k on a $10k boat, the answer was NO.old sails going to windward boat 4.6knt in sw/s 15knt avg,new sails 4.8knt so not a huge difference, angle to wind old sails vs new about 2 degrees which could/would be significant over a straight line, but does it warrant new sails,no at some stage they will need replacing due to age of material/stitching You went sailing yesterday so here's a list for now when finished come back as I have another list Grr. erice 731
^ when have some better footage but when you're solo and it's exciting enough to be worth filming, you're too busy sailing... maybe will work in these pics from the death trap days
erice 731
capricorn has 2 small flexible solar panel but unfortunately their top clear film seems to be dying from UV exposure using some clear vinyl sourced from vorpal blade have made a soft/clear flip back cover to hopefully save the actual solar cells, here shown half flipped back

Winter 42
Busy weekend for me I replaced an engine mount.. now how to align the thing properly?! Removed some oil (appears I over-filled) and replaced a (mildly) worn shackle.
