My take on it is a large amount of that headline number is for work that needed doing at some stage to improve the cities infrastructure into the future but the AC and APEC meant that the development of it was brought forward. NYS - my brother and sister are unable to get home to see our dying mother. The earliest they can get into MIQ is late February which is very likely to be too late. Your moaning about being able to sail down here whenever you wanted to arrive and get straight into a MIQ hotel is quite frankly pissing me off. There are literally thousands of New Zealanders who would like to be able to just arrive and do their two weeks.

I’m looking into purchasing a berth at Westhaven, and the license expires in 2026. Can anyone tells me what happens at that point? Do we lose all rights and have to purchase at full market value again? Will Westhaven just take over the berths and keep them for rental? If either of these are correct, then some people are asking way too much for their licenses to occupy.
